Plant Concierge Service Terms & Conditions

1. Service Overview

Our Plant Concierge Service facilitates the treatment, certification, and forwarding of plants purchased from third-party sellers to customers in Western Australia (WA), Northern Territory (NT), and Tasmania (TAS). We act solely as an intermediary to assist in meeting biosecurity requirements for these regions.

2. Customer Responsibilities

  • Verification of Plant Eligibility: Customers must ensure that the plants they purchase are permitted entry into their respective states. This includes consulting the Western Australia Organism List (WAOL) for WA customers. We do not assume responsibility for plants rejected by state quarantine authorities.

  • Compliance with Size Restrictions: Our packaging accommodates plants in 10cm pots and up to 50cm in height. Plants exceeding these dimensions may be trimmed or repotted to meet shipping requirements. A $20 fee per plant will apply for this service. If a plant cannot be adjusted to fit our packaging, it may be discarded without refund.

3. Liability and Disclaimers

  • Risk Assumption: Customers assume all risks related to plant health and quarantine approval. We do not guarantee the health of the plants upon arrival.

  • Treatment Effects: Mandatory biosecurity treatments may adversely affect some plants, including potential leaf burn or other damage. We are not liable for any such effects, and no refunds or replacements will be provided.

  • Quarantine Rejection: If a plant is refused entry by state authorities, it will be destroyed. All associated costs are the customer's responsibility, and no refunds will be issued.

  • Shipping Risks: Once plants are dispatched, we are not responsible for delays, damages, or losses incurred during transit.

4. Shipping and Handling

  • Designated Carriers: All shipments are processed through our selected carriers using our specified packaging to ensure compliance and streamline operations. We do not accommodate alternative shipping arrangements.

  • Processing Times: Plants destined for TAS are shipped weekly, typically on Mondays. Shipments to NT and WA occur monthly, usually on the Monday closest to the 15th. Due to biosecurity inspections, customers should anticipate delivery times of up to two weeks.

  • Extended Holding Periods: Plants may be held at our facility for extended periods, especially for monthly shipments. During this time, plants may experience changes in condition due to environmental factors, such as the hot and humid climate of Cairns, which may differ from the plant's origin. We are not responsible for any deterioration in plant health or plant death during this period.

5. Fees and Payments

  • Non-Refundable Charges: All fees, including the $35 per plant concierge fee and shipping costs, are non-refundable, even in cases of quarantine rejection, plant damage or plant death.

  • Upfront Payment: Full payment is required before we process any plants.

6. Communication Protocol

  • Condition Upon Arrival: If a plant arrives at our facility in poor health, we will contact the customer with photographs. However, we do not accept responsibility for the plant's condition and will proceed based on the customer's instructions.

  • Unexpected Issues: In the event of unforeseen circumstances affecting processing or shipping, we will notify customers promptly to discuss potential solutions.

7. Amendments and Updates

We reserve the right to modify these Terms & Conditions at any time. Changes will be communicated via our website or direct communication. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.

9. Acceptance of Terms

By using our Plant Concierge Service, customers acknowledge and agree to these Terms & Conditions, as well as all other general Terms & Conditions, refund policies, and shipping policies of Uprooted. The use of this service constitutes acceptance of all applicable policies, and customers are bound by these terms upon payment and engagement of the service.
